In truth it's not an easy job working in the health service it must be a stressful job u get to see a patient for 15 min and expected to make a decision and that goes on all day every day it's nether good for staff or for patients

My surgery and the surgery I work at have a new system to get a gp appointment. You sign in to an app and then you submit a request- explaining what medical problem you have . A triage team will look at your request and I either send you a link to book an appointment online or tell you to spk to a receptionist to book an appointment. Receptionists no longer book gp appointments until the patients request has been triaged by a admin team - it’s to stop patients all ringing at 8am to then be told they’re are no appointments left for today. Also to stop time wasters.
If thee patient is elderly or does not have a smart phone we can put the request through for them but we cannot book a gp appointment.

Managed to be number 3 in the queue - not that it got me anywhere, no appointments whatsoever all week!! Ring back another time. I'm tempted to go private. I don't know how much it is for a consultation though - the word expensive springs to mind. You should tell them it's so painful it wont wait, so you'll have to go to A&E, I bet you get an appointment then. Failing that have you been to talk to a pharmacist? They have more powers now so may be able to give you a stronger painkiller.

Yes, butter wouldn't melt in her mouth! She's a little devil, but I love her.

That is my favourite photo of Willow. She went through a change colour phase with a reddish tinge and a silver tinge. That is the reason hubby said we had to keep her as well as Blackberry, because she was so unusual. She fooled him and and is now mostly black.

Have to wait for bosses to go out and then I can try to get an appointment. The surgery lines open at 8am and everyone is trying then. Just after 8 and I'm on my way to work.
