A number of you will be aware our cats have the Surefeed microchip feeders. The feeder opens the lid when it recognises the cat's microchip & when it goes out of range closes the lid again. ( if you don't know what they're like see this image from Amazon)
This evening I found 3 of 4 Lexie's toys that were loose on the floor were now on the apron of her feeder (where that cat has its front feet). Then I looked a little more carefully & the 4th, her small rabbit skin toy (which she carries around), was on top of the remnants of her dried food in her (divided) bowl under the closed lid!!! At least it wasn't in the moist section of the bowl!!!
I know she moves her toys around but that was ridiculous even for her!! I've no idea what that was all about!
I just wish I'd thought to get a camera before I moved them!
How odd! Perhaps she thought rabbit and the others needed some food.
I love it when a cat carries a toy around. Kiba-Khan has stopped carrying his long-legged rabbit around. Kai Ruki has a knitted owl that he 'catches' now and again and makes funny miaows until we tell him he's a clever boy. None of the other cats have done it.
Lexie is a very tactile cat & moves her toys around the house, upstairs & down! this includes (but not limited to!) Plague Rats, & 3 rabbit fur toys that I got at a cat show produced by the breeder of NFCs. You'll see the sort I mean on their site sites.google.com/site/norsvana/toys We've got the catnip Rabbit balls, fur mice & one thats no longer available but looks like the fur only part of their NOR31. The amusing side of ours is that its almost the colour of Roman's tail & has caused some visitor to think he's hiding she also plays football with the ping pong style cat toys.
When she's carrying toys around she can often be heard mewing quietly!
I'm always on the look out for the rabbit fur balls with the rattle inside. All of my cats loved them but I can't get them now. I have the rabbit fur balls without a rattle and the rabbit fur mice with a rattle but that's not what they want. I laughed at the bit about 'Roman's tail'.

unpoid: Are you a pet owner who is preparing to move to another place with the pets? While searching for a pet shipper company, you should also give a few thought to how you are going to deal with your pet during your move.
