Glad to see all went well for you hubby chantel. Fingers crossed now for the results. Did they indicate when they removed the lump if it was anything to worry about?

I think I'm going try the joint chews as well from asda - he has had them before but he is becoming so fussy now with his food / treats but I will give them a try.

Thanks for all the comments guys. He's had little walk with hubby this morning and managed ok . I'm going to add an extra tablet in his tea tonight and see if it helps. I don't really want to go down the road of pain relief until he needs it because he doesn't seem to be in any pain at the moment it's just stiffness to his rt hip. I will monitor to see how he goes this week but if I feel he is struggling will probably ask the vet about a steroid injection. She did say that we did have plenty of options. I have got to admit I did have a bit of a wobble over the weekend worrying about him and his age , I think it was my anxiety kicking in and I was overthinking ๐ฅฒbut he is OK ๐ถI think we have to keep him moving but reduce the exercise which he will be pleased about ..

Thanks guys , I have just dropped him off . I was leaving work at 1:30 but he rang me at 12 to say could he go in earlier because they had got a cancellation, so I left straight away and picked him up and dropped him off. That's good, less worrying time for you both.

We used a ' magnetic ' collar on both our previous dogs and neither of them ever had major joint problems .
Kizzy ( cavalier cross) also took a joint supplement and only had occasional stiffness in her back legs, even at the grand age of 14 1/2 years. Nutmeg wore the collar from the age of about ten years and was fairly sprightly right up until she left us.
